Dr. Brian Moses Okello Elected President of the Supreme Board

The Supreme Board of Darling Ingredients is proud to announce the election of Dr. Brian Moses Okello as President of the Supreme Board, effective 15 June 2026, for a five-year term.
Dr. Okello assumes the presidency with extensive international experience in governance, strategic leadership, organizational management, humanitarian affairs, institutional development, and international cooperation. His professional career includes experience with internationally recognized organizations including UNICEF, Samaritan’s Purse, and the World Food Programme (WFP).
Throughout his career, Dr. Okello has developed extensive experience working within complex international environments, with a focus on governance, organizational leadership, strategic management, humanitarian operations, institutional development, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable growth.
Academic Background
Dr. Okello brings a distinguished and multidisciplinary academic background that reflects his commitment to excellence in governance, law, social justice, international humanitarian action, urban development, strategic leadership, and sports management.
He holds a PhD in Governance, Law and Social Justice, a European Master’s in International Humanitarian Action, a Master of Science in Urban Development, and an MBA in Strategic Senior Management in the Sports Industry.
His academic journey includes studies at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany; Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands; and Barcelona Innovation Hub University, Spain, reflecting an international and interdisciplinary approach to education, leadership, and professional development.
In addition to his academic qualifications, Dr. Okello is an ACCA-qualified professional, bringing a strong foundation in accounting, finance, corporate governance, strategic management, and organizational leadership.
His multidisciplinary education, combined with extensive professional and international experience, provides a strong foundation for strategic decision-making, institutional leadership, sustainable development, and effective governance at the highest level.
A New Chapter of Leadership
As President, Dr. Okello will provide strategic leadership to the Supreme Board and work closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to strengthen governance, accountability, innovation, sustainability, strategic development, and long-term organizational growth to all our brands in 16 countries globally.
His appointment marks an important new chapter for the Supreme Board and reflects its commitment to visionary leadership, responsible governance, institutional excellence, and sustainable development.

Darling Ingredients’ Supreme Board Authorizes $1 billion Share Repurchase Program

Darling Ingredients today announced that the Board of Directors has refreshed and increased its share repurchase program to $1.5 billion.
“As our balance sheet continues to strengthen and cash generation accelerates, we have the flexibility to invest in our business, pursue attractive organic growth opportunities and return capital to our shareholders,” said Dr. Brian Moses Okello , President and Chairman Supreme Board “This share repurchase program reflects our confidence in Darling’s future and demonstrates our commitment to delivering long-term shareholder value.”
As the company discussed at its Investor Day, Darling Ingredients expects to generate cash flow across various market cycles. Consistent with its disciplined capital allocation framework, the company will continue to evaluate strategies to deliver long-term shareholder value.
